The Story Behind Champs
Champs Chimney was started by Bob Faughnan to honor his late father, Joe, who was an incredible knuckleball pitcher the local reporters called “Champ.” Later in life, Champ became a New York City Fire Lieutenant who served and protected his community. Champ passed away in the line of duty in 1987, and Bob carries on his legacy by protecting his customers from the dangers of fire through his work at Champs Chimney.
At Champs Chimney, we know you want to feel happy and safe in your home, and that means you need a fireplace that keeps your family warm and a chimney that doesn’t smoke. Unfortunately, harsh winters wreak havoc on chimneys, resulting in leaks, odors, and smoke coming back into the house, which is really frustrating when you need to use your fireplace in the winter.
We know what it’s like to have a fireplace in your home that never gets used because the chimney is in disrepair. That’s why our company has been servicing chimneys in our community since 2001.
